What is UVC Lighting?
UVC emits a short wavelength of 200-280 nm (nanometers), 254 nm being the most effective in breaking down germ DNA, leaving the cells unable to function and reproduce. Hospitals and the medical industry have been using UVC lighting since 2007 to manage viruses, bacteria, and other harmful pathogens. When UVC germicidal lighting is used in a safe manner it provides a fast, clean, and chemical free solution for sterilizing your business or home.

Keeping Your Cleaning Service
Your janitorial system will stay intact. They will do their normal cleaning, then we will go in to further disinfect and sanitize your facility. It is important to note that UVC will not remove dirt, dust, or other visible particles that need to be physically cleaned. BioSmart UVC brings a different component of cleaning such as taking care of the germs that we can’t see. Implementing UVC light to sanitize has not only hygienic, monetary, and scientific benefits, but personal as well, proving that UVC light really is the best way to disinfect your business and home.

UVC Compared to the Rest
DISINFECTANTS
Disinfectant sprays can be helpful, however using these sprays and cleaning by hand doesn’t always ensure surfaces to be thoroughly sanitized and it in no way comes close to disinfecting the room itself. Manually cleaning with spray disinfectants only sanitizes up to 50% of viruses, bacteria, and other harmful pathogens. Additionally, they can deteriorate your surfaces and leave them coated in chemicals.
IONIZERS
Ionizers are a semi effective disinfection solution; however, it comes with several health hazards that should be considered. Two major concerns are that most Ionizers use chemicals to “fog” an area. In addition, they create OZONE which is harmful to human and animal respiratory systems. Whereas UVC light disinfection uses NO chemicals and does not create OZONE. Using UVC light is safe for the environment as well as has no residual side effects.

01.Consultation
Schedule a free consultation and we will have one of our technicians come out and assess your facility. They will observe details such as square footage and any potential barriers for the sanitization process. Taking all details into consideration, we then calculate your estimate and you will receive your free quote via email. -
02.Preparation
Our mobile response team will assess the perimeter upon arrival. They will set up all proper safety barriers to protect your customers and staff from exposure to the UVC light during the disinfection process. We can also arrange to UVC sanitize after hours to mitigate business down time. -
03.Execution
Our UVC lighting systems will be deployed and strategically positioned for maximum coverage. Some areas may require repositioning for best coverage. In addition, our team will use our hand held UVC devices to cover recessed or shadowed areas that our larger UVC towers may not illuminate. These will also be used to sanitize high touch/traffic surfaces and areas to ensure a thorough disinfection. When our team leaves you can be confident that all surfaces exposed to the UVC light are 99% sterilized.
